Dupont Tychem "F" Chemical Protective Garment Most Decontamination Suits are made from heavy rubber or polyurethane and are worn over a carbon loaded material in case of puncture. Decontamination Suits made from Military Dupont Tychem "F" are far lighter and contribute much less to body heat stress, yet provide a higher level of protection against all know chemical warfare agents. They are disposable and can be destroyed after exposure to agents rather than risk inadequate decontamination or costly inspection after decontamination. Military Dupont Tychem "F" provides a total barrier against biological warfare agents. A protective suit made from Dupont Tychem "F" to keep out chemical warfare agents will also provide barrier protection against biological warfare agents. However it is important that the garment design excludes the possibility of agents being drawn in at the wrists or ankles by the "bellows" effect. Military Dupont Tychem "F" represents a remarkable step forward in the provision of individual and group protection for both Armed Forces and Civilian Populations in areas where chemical and/or biological warfare could take place, or where there is a risk of contamination from an industrial accident. It provides a remarkably high protection level from all chemical and biological warfare agents yet it is economic for both personal protection garments or for a wide variety of uses in larger structures such as chemical warfare proof collective protection and coverings.
